A41 Watford had to be shut in both directions due to ‘flooding’

Tailbacks had built from the Hunton Bridge Roundabout, up along Watford Road to Junction 20 on the M25.

Road back open.

Herts Highways warned motorists of the closure via social media and have asked people to avoid the area. The tweet said: “ROAD CLOSURE: A41 North Western Avenue #Watford – ROAD CLOSURE Eastbound and Westbound due to flooding #AvoidTheArea “

The A41 was conned from both directions

Watfordlondon covered several floods here, and the Borough Council had said the problem had been fixed after flooding twice in 2022 June, and August a car had a collision with the water and caused damage.
