
Promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed that he is open to the possibility of a boxing match between Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou. Ngannou, a former UFC heavyweight champion, almost stunned Tyson Fury on his professional boxing debut in Saudi Arabia, losing on a controversial split decision.
Hearn says that he has exchanged messages with Ngannou’s camp and that they are willing to consider the fight. The fight could potentially take place in Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, or Africa, but Hearn is not sure if the latter location would be financially viable.
Hearn says that the fight would be a massive event, as both fighters are huge and powerful. He also believes that Joshua would beat Ngannou, despite the MMA world believing otherwise.
Hearn says that Joshua is hoping to fight on December 23, but that they are willing to move the fight to early January if necessary. Hearn also said that there is a chance of a Conor Benn vs. Chris Eubank Jr fight happening on January 27.
