ARRIVA Watford & Hemel Bus Route changes April 2022

From 17th April 2022 Arriva will be making the following changes to the Watford and Hemel Bus Network:

Service 3/4
The combined services will run every 30mins between Grove Hill and the Town Centre. Around Chaulden, Service 3 and 4 will operate hourly.

Service 8
The service will no longer run between Abbots Langley and Watford town centre. Instead, only the section from Watford to Mount Vernon Hospital is being retained. The frequency will remain every 30mins.

Service 10
The Service will run every 30mins and will be extended from Woodside/Horseshoe lane up to Abbots Langley. Holywell and Woodside will continue to be served with a 15 minute frequency (Services 10 and 20 Combined). The combined frequency on this section will increase on a Saturday from every 20mins, to providing an every 15 minute combined (10/20) service from Holywell to Woodside with the extension then to Abbotts Langley every 30 mins.

Service 20
This new Service will run every 30mins from Holywell to Hemel Hempstead, running the same route as the current Service 10, it will then run the Service 320 line of route from Horseshoe lane. Holywell and Woodside will continue to be served with a 15 minute frequency (Services 10 and 20 Combined). The combined frequency on this section will increase on a Saturday from every 20mins, to providing an every 15 minute combined (10/20) service from Holywell to Woodside with the extension then to Hemel Hempstead every 30 mins.

Service 300
Will no longer run.

Service 320

This service is being axed. It runs between Hemel Hempstead and Maple Cross. It goes via both those areas as well as Rickmansworth, Croxley Green, Watford town centre, North Watford, Garston, Abbots Langley, Bedmond, and Leverstock Green.

Arriva says the new 20 service and the revised 321 route will compensate for the loss of the 320.

Service 321
This bus service that currently runs between Watford town centre and Luton, via North Watford, Garston, Chiswell Green, St Albans, and Harpenden.

Will be extended beyond Watford to Watford General Hospital, Croxley Green, Rickmansworth and Berry Lane Estate or Maple Cross. This will run every 20 minutes and will replace Services 320 and 520. Berry Lane will be served by two bus per hour and Maple Cross will remain an hourly service.

Service 500
The Service will run every 30 mins Monday – Saturday. In addition, a brand new Sunday 500 service will be introduced between Hemel & Watford.

Service 520
Will no longer run and will be replaced by Service 321
