BBC One Night: Shows Joshua Knocked Confused vs Ruiz

The captivating documentary revisited one of the greatest boxing upsets in decades – when heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua’s was defeated by virtual unknown Andy Ruiz in June.

Andy Ruiz was the first Mexican fighter to ever win.

The documentary starss Slyvester Stalone who played a boxer in the film series ‘Rocky’.   He gave insight as to what thoughts might be going through the minds of the fighters.

There are also accounts from the Referee gave his account at certain stages when Joshua was hurt.   Also Mike Tyson, and Evander Holyfield help to shed light on this fight of the champions. 

Joshua lost his undefeated record and He’d already owned three of the four major heavyweight titles and was regularly drawing crowds in excess of 60,000 in the United Kingdom.  But he lost them in New York to the fast punches from the Mexican-American, who floored his exalted opponent four times en route to stopping the Brit in the seventh round.

The unforgettable evening is retold by the two fighters along with legends of the sport and those who experienced it first hand, including Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Sugar Ray Leonard, Buster Douglas, Sylvester Stallone and Dolph Lundgren.

The rematch takes place on the 7th of December in Saudi.
