On Sunday, 13 August at around 03:00hrs the three victims were walking along City Road following a night out when they were approached by a man riding a bicycle on the pavement.
He collided with them and came off of his bike. He then approached the victims and remonstrated with them before launching an unprovoked attack, punching one 24-year-old man to the ground who was left unconscious.
A 31-year-old woman was also punched in the face and suffered a broken nose.
The suspect then went to retrieve his bicycle and fled in the direction of Islington.
He is described as a black man, aged in his 20s. He was wearing a dark polo shirt and black trousers. He also had a distinctive large beard
PC Matt Jolley, of Hackney police, who are investigating the incident, said: “This was a callous and needless assault.
