Hemel Hempstead Met Officer pleads not guilty to rape and stalking offences

A Metropolitan Police officer from Hemel Hempstead remains in custody after pleading not guilty at St Albans Crown Court on Monday, April 15th.

Jake Cummings, 25, pleaded not guilty to charges of rape, stalking, controlling and coercive behaviour, and possession of an offensive weapon.

His alleged offences involved a single woman in Hertfordshire.

Cummings was previously suspended upon initial accusations.

He will remain in custody until the trial date set for September 2nd, 2024, at St Albans Crown Court.
