Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe’s husband Richard says the family feels “huge relief” after she was released from prison in Iran, adding that the first thing she wants when she gets home is a “cup of tea”.
“She’s coming home.”
Boris Johnson tweeted “I am very pleased to confirm that the unfair detention of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe and Anoosheh Ashoori in Iran has ended today, and they will now return to the UK.”
She became a financial prisoner because the UK owed IRAN money. She was Freed once the £400million debt was paid.
Boris said in interview that this also adds hope on talks to get Saudi fuel at a good price to combat rising fuel prices amid Putin’s war on Ukraine.
