
Many residents across Hertfordshire were able to see the NHS Spitfire flying across the skies later today.
The event is being organised by the Aircraft Restoration Company, a family-owned firm that restores vintage aircraft, and will see the historic single-seat fighter soar over an array of hospitals.
As part of the NHS’ 72nd birthday celebrations at the start of last month, after facing the most challenging year in its history amid the Covid-19 crisis.
The plane flew through Kent, Sussex, Hampshire and Buckinghamshire, and Hertfordshire.
