Hertfordshire County Council is proposing the introduction of a 20mph zone in the West Watford and cassiobury area known as the triangle. (Ref 77002391-001-c)
Whippendell Road could see the introduction of road humps and raised table traffic calming features as part of HCC’s Speed Management Strategy.
HCC is seeking public engagement responses to the potentially lowering speed limits around west Watford and Cassiobury Park.
The purpose of the proposal is to make it easier and safer for people to walk and cycle by creating a lower speed environment.
Residents can leave comments on the proposal by completing a short survey online at Hertfordshire.gov.uk/20mphwatford1 will be available during a consultation period 26 June to Monday the 24th of July 2023.
For the scheme to move forward a 10% response rate will be required and of those the majority must be in support.
