Emma Bunton opened up about the eagerly anticipated Spice Girls reunion

Emma, 40 – who is known around the world as Baby Spice – turned on the Regent Street Christmas Lights on Thursday night alongside Holly Willoughby, her fellow Heart London presenter Jamie Theakston, Rebecca Ferguson and Tom Odell.
Before she did the honours, Emma sat down to discuss the upcoming reunion; which will see her, Mel B and Geri Horner take to the stage in London’s Hyde Park next July under the name ‘GEM’.
Admitting that the girls “are yet to start planning their comeback”, Emma also confessed that it always feels a little bit strange when Victoria Beckham and Mel C aren’t there singing the hits with them.

I believe that the Spice Girls now is about a generation, it’s not just about us, it’s about all the people that have listened.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Emma explained: “It’s weird because we’ve done it without Geri before…of course, it always feels weird [without the others]. But, I believe that the Spice Girls now is about a generation, it’s not just about us, it’s about all the people that have listened.
“Holly Willoughby, bless her, is a big fan of the Spice Girls and her little girl just came over and said ‘I want your autograph’. There’s a whole new generation that’s coming through, so I think it’s nice for them to hear the music as well.”
Emma also spoke out about the recently released throwback video of the band, which saw them attacking a director who asked them to flash more flesh during a 1990s photo shoot.
