
Police make arrest assisted by Armed responce units
Police units were called at just after 5pm on Tuesday (16 August) to reports of a disturbance with a machete spotted on the High Street.
Officers, including an armed response unit and police helicopter responded to the area.
One man aged 18 was taken to hospital having suffered a slash injury to his foot. He has since been discharged from hospital and is recovering.
The three men arrested and have now been charged.
All three were due to appear at Stevenage Magistrates Court today (Thursday 18 August).
Detective Inspector Chris Parperi, from the Watford Local Crime Unit, said: “Incidents of this nature will not be tolerated, and we appreciate it will have caused a great deal of concern among the local community.
“Our officers responded immediately, three men were swiftly arrested and have now been charged.
“If you have any information about the incident, and haven’t yet spoken to police, we’d urge you to please do so.”
