[tta_listen_btn]Chorleywood House Estate, Leavesden Country Park, and the Rickmansworth Aquadrome have all retained their Green Flag status, an international award recognizing well-managed parks and green spaces.
The Green Flag Award scheme is managed by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy under license from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities. Parks and green spaces that meet the high standards set by the scheme are awarded the Green Flag, which is a mark of excellence.
The three parks within Three Rivers District have all been flying the Green Flag since 2022. They have been praised for their well-maintained grounds, variety of facilities, and friendly staff.
In addition to retaining its Green Flag status, Leavesden Country Park has also kept the Green Heritage Site status accreditation, which is supported by Historic England. This accreditation recognizes the park’s particular historic features, including its Grade II listed mansion, walled garden, and lake.
The Green Flag Award is a valuable recognition for the hard work that goes into maintaining these three parks. It is a testament to the commitment of the staff and volunteers who work to make them a great place for everyone to enjoy.
