Funeral service for Man who had heart attack whilst driving, held on Monday 1st December at Holy Cross Church, Sarratt
An elderly man is believed to have had a heart attack whilst at the wheel of his BMW X5.
The car careered off the A41 Road at the bend, and eneded up in overgrown verge after losing control on the A41 Dual Carriageway travelling from Hunton Bridge Roundabout, towards leavesden at 11:50am.
For unknown reasons the Driver then veered to the left and off the dual carriageway and down the embankment and straight across the slip road. Then up the another embankment to end up smashing through wire fencing and into overgrown field verge. in which the man in his 70s sadly died.
Police, ambulance and fire services attended the scene as well as a Helimed helicopter. The man driving the BMW was taken to Harefield Hospital but sadly he has since been pronounced dead. No one else was believed to be in the car at the time and no other vehicles are currently thought to be involved.
