Fire crews were called to a fire at about 8:00pm in Watford, Police cars were stationed at the Whippendell entrance to keep traffic from entering, and the same at the Vicarage Road end.
Tenants of the Property were outside as Firefighters tackled the fire within the property. Police tweeted to avoid the area at 8:44pm
Any traffic would have to take the alternative route around the one-way.
Firefighters contained the fire and managed to put it out swiftly.
At 9:45 approx the incident was deemed safe and fire out. The fire engine left the scene along with the police a few minutes later. One Fire team remained with the owner.
From what we could tell no-one was injured. No Ambulances at the scene when we arrived at 9:15 pm
The road was accessible again.
