Huge Life Size Castle film set in Warner Bros fields overlooking A41

The latest film studio backlot extension can easily be seen by passers-by and motorists on the Watford Road and the A41.

Those driving along Langleybury lane get more of a birds eye view.  In 2016 a huge “Greyskull castle” was built for the Wonder Woman Movie.

Several cranes are noticeable locally and some caught a glimpse of castle turrets. 

There was speculation one of the sets was for Game of Thrones prequel “House Of The Dragon”.   The studios are known for the filming of Fantantastic beasts films, and Mission Impossible movies.

Warner Bros was granted the extension so that the movie industry could catch after the covid delays.

Warner Bros, which is also home to the Harry Potter Tour,  recently told residents that 10 days of filming up to July 6th so they are aware of any explosive sound affects and lighting that might cause disturbance. “This will involve high level film lighting, some use of controlled Special Effects involving; atmos, smoke, braziers, wind machines and general production filming noise.”

Warner Bros will release all of its 2021 films, including Dune and The Matrix 4, online on the same day they hit cinemas.

Warner Bros said the one-year plan was in response to the “unprecedented times” of the outbreak, but the multiplexes will no doubt still be concerned about what it could mean for their future.
