
Police Appeal
A pedestrian has sadly died following a road traffic collision in Chiswell Green on Monday, June 26.
The incident occurred at around 4:05pm on the A405 North Orbital Road, near Chiswell Green. A grey Citroen van and a pedestrian were involved in the collision.
The pedestrian, a man aged in his 70s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He died on Thursday, June 29.
The family of the deceased man has been made aware.
A 43-year-old man from Hemel Hempstead was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving. He has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Detective Constable Neil Crosier, from the Road Policing Unit, said: “Following the sad news that a man has now passed away following the incident, we are issuing a further appeal to the public.
“Were you in the area at the time and saw what happened? Additionally, if you have a dash cam fitted, please check it as you may have recorded some crucial footage that may help our investigation.”
