Pedestrian died in fatal collision on A405 North Orbital Watford

Watford Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following a fatal road traffic collision on the A405 North Orbital Road at the junction of Bucknalls Lane.

This occurred at approximately 5.50pm on Friday (2nd December), a collision occurred between a pedestrian in his 70s, and a black Toyota Yaris. Unfortunately the man sadly died at the scene.

The female driver of the Yaris, in her 20s, was not injured.

There was road in place until midnight to allow investigations at the scene. This caused some congestion.

Sergeant Chris Whales from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit is investigating. He said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who sadly died in this incident.

“I would like to appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and who saw the collision or who has any dashcam footage which may assist our investigation to please contact me.”
