Vacant Bars Shops seen empty in Watford in August
At the top of Watford High Street many properties are seen laying dormant. Some companies are simply closing a bunch of their stores so that they can prioritise expansion elsewhere.
The town’s offering has been criticised after Barrio shut nine months after opening, following Marcel’s bar and Wetherspoon’s Colombia Press closing earlier this year.
Barrio in Watford shut in June, according to Watford BID, the organisation that works with businesses in the town centre.
Weatherspoons are closing up sites, but still has its Moon Under The Water nearby.
With other retail properties vacant, wilko could be the latest to join them in the coming months.
