Serious Accident closes A405 between Jct 21A M25 and Jct 6 M1

This morning at around 7am , Herts police reported that a serious road traffic collision had taken place.

Update: 6pm  The A405 Bricket Wood is now fully open in both directions.

The engine can be seen seperated from the car on the dual carraiageway.

It is not known the condition of the driver is, or if there wer any passengers in the car at this time.

It is advised to take care after stormdennis, heavy and persistent rain will slowly move eastwards across southern areas this afternoon.  There is likely to be fallen debris blown onto the roads, as well as large puddles to avoid.
