Two women have been arrested in connection with an alleged acid attack that took place on Monday, March 18th in Aldenham.
The incident occurred on Hilfield Lane when two people reportedly approached a man and threw a substance believed to be corrosive at him.
Angelina O’Drisscoll, 34 of Newton Close, Harrow and Victoria O’Drisscoll, 31 of Woodcock Hill, Harrow, are being held on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH), possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, and grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent. They are currently in police custody and cooperating with the investigation.
Detective Inspector Claire Richardson-Wabe, the Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) from the Safeguarding Command, expressed her appreciation for bringing the arrests to the public’s attention.
“This incident has required a significant number of resources including from specialist teams and the Local Crime Unit in Hertsmere.”
Detective Inspector Richardson-Wabe concluded by urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has any relevant information to come forward and assist the investigation.
