20/03/2024 – Police are appealing for witnesses and information following reports of a dog being dangerously out of control in London Colney.

The incident occurred between 4pm and 4.30pm on Friday (15 March), on Reed Close.

It is reported that a man was riding his scooter when he was approached by another man and a dog off its lead. The dog, described as a Staffordshire Bull Terrier-type breed, then bit the victim on his arm and cheek, which required hospital treatment.

PC Sarah Maitland-Lauderdale, who is investigating, said: “Our enquiries are continuing, and I am appealing for any witnesses to please come forward.

“Did you see what happened, or have any further information? Additionally, if you have any dash cam or CCTV footage, please check it and email me, as it may help us progress our investigation.”

You can report information online, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/21878/24.
