The Boots store in Waterfields Retail Park, Watford was robbed on Thursday afternoon. Thieves stole large boxes from the store and fled in a white van.
A witness, who was driving through the car park at around 1pm, heard screaming and stopped to investigate. That’s when she saw the men running off with the boxes while being chased by a staff member.
A witness heard screaming as she drove through the car park at around 1pm. Being concerned she stopped to check. That’s when shesaw the men running off the boxes whilst being chased by a staff member who was shouting at them.
The witness said that it was “awful and really frightening”. The men nearly hit my car as they sped away.
Staff managed to get the van’s number plate and have reported the crime to the police.
The witness believes that the thieves may have been waiting for a delivery to be made so that they could steal the goods.
