Boy pushed down escalator injured in Watford Atria centre

A 16-year-old boy was pushed down an escalator following a scuffle with two other males, causing him to sustain multiple cuts to various parts of his body.

The Police investigating the assault are particularly keen to trace a female who may have seen what happened at around 1pm on Friday 14 January in the Atria Shopping Centre.

PC Jessica Tanseli, who is investigating, said: “Enquiries are continuing at this time to establish the circumstances around what happened, including reviewing CCTV footage. As part of our investigation, we’d also like to hear from anyone who saw the incident, or the events leading up to it.

“We’re particularly keen to hear from a dark-haired female who was in the area at the time, as she may have vital information. She was wearing dark clothing and carrying a bag. If this was you, please contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to please contact PC Tanseli via email.
