Officers investigating a theft in Rickmansworth are releasing an image of a man they would like to identify and speak to as part of their enquiries.
It happened at Waitrose on Homestead Road at about 6.30pm on Tuesday, December 14, when the victim went to pay for her shopping and noticed her purse was gone.
After contacting her bank, the woman was informed of two transactions that she did not make.
One of those transactions was at Holland’s newsagents in Rickmansworth, where £97 was spent.
PCSO Charlotte Winny, who is investigating, said: “We believe the man pictured could assist us with our enquiries as he was in the area at around the time of the transaction.”
“We have a duty to the victim to explore every avenue as part of our investigation. If you recognise this man or have any further information about the incident that you think could assist our investigation, then please get in touch as soon as possible.”
You can email PCSO Winny at Charlotte.Winny@herts.police.uk, report information online at herts.police.uk/report, use online web chat at herts.police.uk/contact, or call the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference 41/98272/21.
