Hunton Park Hotel shares designs for more rooms in renovation plans

In March 2022, successful businessman Neal Khanna purchased the 62-bedroom Hunton Park Hotel located in Watford, North London. The hotel, which boasts listed gardens and serves as a popular country house venue for weddings and social events, was facilitated for purchase by the UK hotel management company Countrywide Hotels.

He expressed his intention to invest £3 million to improve The Hunton Park, which will be managed by Countrywide Hotels, and to maintain the current staff while enhancing employee training to ensure top-notch service.

“We will be adding 10 suites to the The Manor House. 2 suites will include a lounge, bathtub in the bedroom, large walk in closet and a bathroom. The other deluxe 8 suites will have large bedrooms and bathrooms. Rooms will sleep between 2 and 4 people.”

Mr Khanna already owned the recently refurbished Denham Grove Hotel, the popular Asian fusion restaurant Ponzu in Buckinghamshire, and The Clay Oven, a market-leading Asian catering and event company.

Mr Khanna sees the acquisition of The Hunton Park as an opportunity to expand his hotel and catering business, and he plans to transform the hotel into a boutique and destination property. The hotel’s new name will be The Hunton Park.

Darren Patt, Managing Director of Countrywide Hotels said: “We are delighted to be working with Neal on this new project. Hunton Park offers a great business opportunity, it is in a great location and offers a wonderful place to stay, eat and socialise for guests. We look forward to the exciting changes and new phase of the hotel.”

The Hunton Park is situated on a beautiful 22-acre estate in the Hertfordshire countryside and is conveniently located just three minutes from Junction 20 of the M25, near Watford Junction train station, and within 30-40 minutes’ drive from Heathrow and Gatwick Airports. The hotel features 62 bedrooms, 10 meeting and event spaces, the Huntsman’s Pantry & Bar, and a swimming pool.
