A man has been charged by detectives in connection with a shooting incident in Walthamstow that resulted in serious injuries to a male victim.
The individual in question is Desharn Felix, aged 21, who does not have a fixed address, was apprehended on Wednesday, July 5th.
Subsequently, on Friday, July 7th, he was formally charged with several offenses, including possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life, and possession of cannabis.
Felix is scheduled to appear in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court on the same day, July 7th.
The incident under investigation commenced when authorities received a call at 10:44 p.m. on Saturday, June 17th, reporting a firearm being discharged in Blackhorse Lane, E17. Upon arrival, officers were joined by the London Ambulance Service, where they discovered a 22-year-old man who had sustained a gunshot wound.
The victim was swiftly transported to the hospital in critical condition. Although his injuries were subsequently assessed as non-life-threatening, he remains hospitalized. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
