Met Office StormDennis Warnings upgraded include England

Four separate amber warnings a

re in place on Sunday – two which cover the south of England, one for south Wales and another in the north west of England.

Met Office meteorologist Alex Burkill said Storm Dennis, the fourth named storm of the 2019-20 season, would bring severe gales and heavy rain that will push east across the country.

The severity of the Storm Dennis includes rain, wind and ice all set for the UK on Saturday and Sunday.

StormCiara had already caused damage and much mayhem lats weekend with towns flooded, buildings collapsing, roads blocked and 1,500 homes had power cuts.

Stong winds in Watford blew off protective coverings from scaffolding, and  over 500 trees fell across the county.

Herts Highways say All reported obstructions from Storm Ciara have now been attended to make them safe. The clean-up will continue over the next few days.
