Three males from Ware have been charged with the murder of a 50yr old man in Hertford.
A 42-year-old man, a 41-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man, all of Cromwell Road, Ware who were previously charged with section 18 grievous bodily harm (GBH) against a 50-year-old man have now been charged with his murder.
• Stuart Smith, aged 42, of Cromwell Road, Ware
• Karen Lynn, aged 41, of Cromwell Road, Ware
• Charlie Penn, aged 20, of Cromwell Road, Ware
Smith has also been charged with actual bodily harm (ABH).
A man has tragically died following an assault in Hertfordshire.
Police were called to the car park of Tesco in Ware Road, where an altercation occurred between a group of people, at around 8.15pm on Saturday 4 November. 50-year-old Wayne Ambridge from Ware, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he sadly died on Thursday 9 November..
A murder investigation was subsequently launched by the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit (MCU).
Detective Inspector Iain MacPherson, from the MCU, said: “Our thoughts are with Wayne’s family and friends at this very difficult time, and we would ask that their privacy is respected.
“Three people have been charged with murder in connection with the incident and have been remanded into custody ahead of a court appearance in April 2024.
“I would like to thank members of the public who have reported information to us.”
