Emergency services attended Hempstead Road, near Hunton Bridge, Kings Langley. Firefighters specially trained in water rescue pulled the casualty from the water, but sadly the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

She was described as white, aged in her 50s, 5ft 5in tall, of medium build, with shoulder length brown hair and was wearing a red T-shirt, a dark-coloured, possibly black, hoody, dark jeans and black trainers with a white sole.
