A man has been charged and remanded in connection with a serious assault causing fractures, bruising and swelling, and required hospital treatment.
A man in his 40s and a teenage boy were held against their will inside the address, before using a baseball bat on the man who ended up with fractures, bruising and swelling, and required hospital treatment.
Seun Daramola, of Byron Road in Wealdstone, London, was charged with the following offences on Friday 21 January:
The charges relate to two incidents at an address in Westland Road, Watford, on Friday 14 January and Thursday 20 January respectively.
Police attended and large amount of class A drugs were recovered from the address, along with several mobile phones and hundreds of pounds in cash.
Following charge, 37-year-old Daramola appeared at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court Court on Saturday 22 January before he was remanded back into custody.
His next appearance at St Albans Crown Court has been scheduled for Tuesday 22 February.
Detective Constable George Lewin, from the Watford Local Crime Unit, said: “We are pleased to have secured these charges, and we want to reassure the community that violence has no place in Watford. We shall wait for the justice system to take its course.”
