Watford FC announce new head coach Roy Hodgson after Claudio Ranieri sacked ⚽️

After the 3-0 defeat at the hands of Norwich at Vicarage Road was the last straw to convince the Hornets bosses to make their second managerial change of the campaign.

He was appointed head coach of Watford FC in October but has failed to raise the team’s fortunes.

Watford has lost seven of last eight league matches under Ranieri.

Watford FC has now confirmed the appointment of Roy Hodgson as the club’s manager.

The ex-England national team boss is joined by his trusted assistant Ray Lewington, who managed the Hornets so admirably from 2002 until 2005.

The club is currently positioned 19th in the Premier League.

Watford Football Club confirms the departure of Head Coach Claudio Ranieri.

The Hornets’ Board recognises Claudio as a man of great integrity and honour, who will always be respected here at Vicarage Road for his efforts in leading the team with dignity.
