🚔👮‍♂️Police were called at around 10.45pm on Sunday (23 January), after a man was discovered dead inside a flat in Bushey High Street.
Detectives from the Major Crime Unit have launched a murder investigation yesterday (Wednesday 26 January) following the suspicious death of a man in Bushey. (read: victim named)
Forensics remain at the scene at an upstairs flat in Melbourne Road.
Following a post mortem results, it then turned into a murder investigation.
Officers have been knocking on doors and questioning people in the area.
Detective Inspector Justine Jenkins, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time. Specialist officers continue to provide support and we request that the family’s privacy is respected.
“Our investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances around what happened and we are appealing for anyone with information to please come forward.
“Did you see or hear anything suspicious in the area between Saturday night and Sunday evening? Any information at all could greatly assist our enquiries.”
Hertsmere Chief Inspector Mark Bilsdon said: “I appreciate incidents of this nature cause a great deal of concern among the community. I would like to reassure people that we are doing all we can to investigate the circumstances around what happened. Officers remain in the area, so please do not hesitate to speak with them if you have any concerns.”
