Man Remanded in Custody Charged with Aggravated Burglary and Other Offences in Three Rivers

A man has been charged with aggravated burglary, possession of a bladed article, threats to damage property, common assault, possession of class A drugs, and theft in Three Rivers.

Kerry Reynolds, 40, of Prestwick Road, South Oxhey, appeared before Hatfield Remand Court on Friday 27 October and was remanded back into custody. The date of his next court appearance is yet to be confirmed.

  • Aggravated burglary
  • Possession of a bladed article (knife)
  • Threats to damage/destroy property
  • Common assault
  • Possession of class A drugs (cocaine)
  • Theft – shoplifting

The charges of aggravated burglary, possession of a bladed article, and possession of class A drugs relate to an incident in Ashridge Drive, South Oxhey, on the afternoon of Wednesday 25 October.

Entry was forced to a property and the occupants were threatened with a knife, before one of them – a woman – was punched in the face.

Later the same day, police carried out an arrest in connection with the incident and seized white powder since confirmed to be cocaine.

The charges of common assault and threats to damage property relate to an incident in Hallowes Crescent, South Oxhey on the afternoon of Tuesday 10 October. The victim, a man aged in his 40s, was slapped around the face and threats were made to cause damage to his property.

The theft charge relates to an incident – unrelated to the two on 10 and 25 October – on the morning of Friday 1 September, when ready meals and alcohol were stolen from The Co-op on Delta Gain, Carpenders Park.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed any of these incidents, and has not yet spoken to them, to please come forward and speak to police.

Detective Sergeant Darren Machin, from the Three Rivers Local Crime Unit, said:

“Both of these incidents occurred during the day, when they were likely witnessed by members of the public who were just going about their day. We want to reassure the community that those involved are known to one another, and that we are not treating these incidents as random attacks.

“However we want to send a clear message that violent behaviour will not be tolerated, and we are providing support to the victims as the investigation progresses. We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed either incident, and has not yet spoken to us, to please come forward and speak to police.”
