CoronaVirus: Concerns Comic Con London
Part one of the biannual London edition of the UK’s biggest pop culture event happens in Spring just after winter.
There are concerns about the public attending events with mass crowds in confined areas following lockdowns in Italy and China under one roof.
Comic Con next event is on the 29 Feb – 1 Mar, which features Japanese anime and manga fans, and cosplayer culture.
As of 26 February, a total of 7,132 people have been tested in the UK, of which 7,119 were confirmed negative and 13 positive.
Based on the World Health Organization’s declaration that this is a public health emergency of international concern, the UK Chief Medical Officers have raised the risk to the UK from low to moderate.
Main concern is of people who have travelled to the UK from mainland China, Thailand, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and northern Italy.
