Croxley Green Plans for 160 new homes granted permission
Despite a petition with 2,500 signatures to stop farmland being built 160 new homes will be built on the edge of Croxley Green.
Planning inspector Adam Nunn overturned a decision made by Three Rivers District Council in May 2021 which had refused development plans for Killingdown Farm.
Killingdown Farm was removed as a green belt in 2014 during a planning inquiry.
The site will be a mixture of housing types to meet the various needs and demands of the local community together providing 45 % of the homes as affordable housing.
Hills say “We recognise that Croxley Green is a unique village within Three Rivers and that any housing development should be sensitive to the local surroundings, especially given the inclusion of part of the site within the conservation area and the proximity of the surrounding Green and character of Croxley Green.”
