Police arrest two men and a woman in Borehamwood drugs bust
Two men and a woman were arrested and Cannabis, cash and mobile phones seized in Borehamwood police raid yesterday (Wednesday 28 June).
Acting on a tipoff, searches were conducted at two addresses, leading to large quantity of cannabis being seized, as well as cash and mobile phones.
Three people were subsequently arrested:
- A 27-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug. He has been released on bail while enquiries continue.
- A 46-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug. He has been released on bail while enquiries continue.
- A 21-year-old woman, who has been given a conditional caution.
PC Abigail Devane, from the Hertsmere Scorpion team, led the operation. She said: “Drugs and the criminality associated with them causes misery among local communities. I hope this operation reassures members of the public that we are listening to their concerns and taking action against those involved.
“A number of teams came together to carry out the operation and this was key to its success.”
Officers from the following teams were involved – Hertsmere and Hatfield Scorpion, local intervention response, Safer Neighbourhood Team and the Local Crime Unit. Hertsmere Chief Inspector Mark Bilsdon also attended.
