15 year old charged for serious assault put the victim in hospital

A teenager has now been charged in connection with a serious assault on another boy in Abbots Langley

The victim was stabbed during the incident causing serious injury. He remains in hospital but the police report his injury is not deemed to be life-threatening.

The incident took place near Rosehill Gardens and Gade View Gardens on the afternoon of Wednesday 3 February. Police and armed officers attended the scene along with an ambulance and was later arrested.

The boy has been remanded into custody set to appear at St Albans Youth Court on Wednesday 10 February. Charged with Section 18 GBH (wounding with intent)

Three Rivers Chief Inspector Alex Warwick said: “We are pleased to have secured a charge in connection with this case and we continue to progress our investigation.

“I hope this provides reassurance to our local community and sends out a strong message that we will not tolerate violence in Three Rivers.
