Dangerous Man who viciously attacked a nurse in Radlett given 15years sentence

A violent man has been handed a 15 year prison sentence after launching a brutal and unprovoked attack on a nurse at the Adult Mental Health Unit at Kingsley Green in Hertfordshire. in Radlett.

Kieron Hall, 32, of Fearnley Street, Watford, had been found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, causing actual bodily harm and assault on an emergency worker while at Kingsley Green.

The attack occurred when the nurse went to give Hall his medication during an assessment. Hall then stood up and became abusive, before launching an unprovoked attack on the nurse.

The victim suffered life-changing injuries and has been unable to return to work as a result. Two colleagues who went to help the nurse also suffered injuries.

One suffered a small fracture to a bone in his wrist from blocking a punch, while the other suffered bruising to his chest.

Hall was described by Judge Richard Foster as a “dangerous offender” and was sentenced to 10 years in prison with a five-year licence extension. This means Hall can be recalled to prison if he reoffends or breaks the terms of his licence at any time within the next 15 years.

The mental health facility Located on Harper Lane, Shenley, opened on the site in May 2009 on the 11 acres of land. It was known as Harperbury Hospital since 1928.
