A 14-year-old boy, identified locally as Daniel Anjorin, died in a hospital following yesterday’s violent attack in Hainault, London. The attack, which occurred on Tuesday morning, also injured four others, including two police officers.

A 33-year-old man was struck when the suspect crashed his van into the property in Laing Close. He was then attacked by the suspect and suffered a wound to his neck.

Henry De Los Rios Polania, a 35-year-old IT engineer injured in the recent Hainault samurai sword attack, expressed gratitude to the NHS for their life-saving care. In a social media post from his hospital bed, Polania acknowledged the “long journey ahead” for his recovery. The attack, which occurred in northeast London on Tuesday, left him with a deep wound on his hand.

Another man, 35, was attacked inside a nearby house and suffered lacerations to his arm. He then went on to attack Daniel Anjorin who unfortunately was killed whilst on his way to school.

Dramatic footage shows the perpetrator of the Hainault Attack was apprehended and tasered by Police.

The suspect ran off but ended up being surrounded by more officers in Thurlow Gardens.

The Mother has also been named as a Science Teacher at the Holy Family Catholic School.

The school said: “It is with great sadness that I share with you the news of the death of the child of one of our staff members.

“Please keep Mrs Anjorin, her husband and their other children in your prayers”.

Her family have sent their condolences to Daniel’s family with her mother, Dr Sinead O’Malley, saying: “I don’t think there’s anything anybody can say that can really do anything to alleviate their hurt and their pain.”

Speaking earlier today on LBC, Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley, said: “The thoughts of us all are with the parents of the 14-year-old boy who lost his life.

Officers responded swiftly, arriving on the scene within 12 minutes, he was Tasered and arrested 22 minutes after the first call to police.
Videos shared online show what the situation was really like for the officers. It is not a glib phrase when we say they run towards danger. Officers are so connected to the idea that it’s their job to protect the public that they instinctively do this.
However, some of the first responders encountered significant danger, with two officers requiring surgery due to “horrifically serious injuries,” including one officer nearly losing a hand. They will require long-term rehabilitation to help them recover.

Nineteen officers a day are injured in London.

Marcus Aurelio Arduini Monzo, 36, has been charged with murder and remains in custody. He is currently hospitalised due to injuries sustained when his van collided with a building during the incident.

Detective Chief Inspector Larry Smith, who is leading the investigation, said: “This is an incredibly tragic incident that has resulted in a young boy losing his life and his family devastated. On behalf of the family, I would ask that their privacy is respected.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities prioritise understanding the circumstances surrounding this devastating event. Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends, as well as all those injured in this horrific attack.
