Hundreds Queue for free Burritos at Tortilla Watford

Hundreds of Fans Queue up outside the Mexican high street restaurant Tortilla to grab Free Burritos from 2 pm today at sites across the UK

Tortilla fans were out in force today because Tortilla is giving away half a million free burritos today to celebrate World Burrito Day, which is an unofficial holiday celebrated by burrito enthusiasts across the world.

The scene outside the Watford Tortilla branch was one of eager anticipation, with burrito lovers forming a long line that snaked down the street. The promise of a free burrito proved too tempting for many, with people of all ages lining up to get their hands on the Mexican treat.

To get a freebie, you must sign up to Club Tortilla, verify your account, and download the loyalty card to your Apple or Android phone wallet. Our Watnews reporter was told that non-members can still get a meal with 10% off.

Members were sent an email announcing the Thursday special.

The email said “Your FREE Burrito Awaits This Thursday because National Burrito Day is almost here! As a valued member of our club tortilla, we’re giving you a special treat to celebrate – a no-strings- attached, mouth-watering, stuffed-to-the-max FREE burrito…” Only available whilst stocks last, so be quick.

Tortilla staff were reportedly kept busy throughout the day, working tirelessly to churn out burritos for the hungry crowds. The atmosphere was buzzing, with people chatting and enjoying the camaraderie of their shared love for burritos.

This event highlights the ever-growing popularity of Mexican cuisine in the UK. Burritos, with their delicious combination of fillings wrapped in a soft tortilla, have become a staple food for many Britons.
