Filming at West Herts College begins Monday, Could Cause traffic Disruption

A film crew will be setting up at West Herts College in Watford next week, which may cause some disruption to traffic in the area.

The film set had cobbled paving and some new age street lighting. Along with Christmas Sale banners.

We got inside info that the scenes were part of an Apple TV programme, the area was converted into a Shopping centre at Christmas time.

The stunts that are being filmed at West Herts College are said to involve a shopping center, so it is possible that the show is set in a retail environment.

The production company for the unnamed Apple TV+ series has remained tight-lipped about the show, but it is believed to be a British production that will not feature any Screen Actors Guild talent, due to strikes in the USA by writers who say they are being replaced by AI.

The filming will take place from Monday 25th July to Friday 29th July, and will involve the use of the rear car park of the college. Peace Prospect will have limited access.

Residents advised to expect some disruption

The borough council warned There may be some disruption due to the large scale of filming. films crews will fill the rear car park.

Residents who live in the area are advised to expect some disruption during the filming period. There will be local road closures next to the college, and some noise and traffic may be generated.

The production company has said that they will have traffic management and security in place at all times, and are keen to keep disruption to a minimum.

Filming to be a boost for the town of Watford

The filming is a major coup for the town of Watford, and is expected to bring positive attention to the area.

Last year 2022 Hemel Hempstead was location for a Christmas movie for SKY.

  • Sky Studios Elstree is another large film studio complex in Watford. Sky Studios Elstree is currently filming the upcoming series “The Lazarus Project.” Is a top secret organization dedicated to preventing mass extinction events and with the ability to make time go backwards.
  • Thames Television Studios is a historic television studio complex that is now used for a variety of productions. Thames Television Studios is currently filming the upcoming series “The Tourist.”
