Herts Pride LGBTQ+ festival at Cassiobury Park August 2021

Herts Pride is back for it’s ninth year and is free to attend the biggest LGBTQ+ event.

Sister Sister is the stage name of Philip “Pip” Doran, a drag performer and one of the Season 2 contestants of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.

Lascel Wood had a major TV appearance on xfactor 2011 receiving a standing ovation and four yeses from the judges reducing Kelly Roland to tears. He has sung as lead vocalist in the highly acclaimed West End smash show – Thriller Live.

Allan Jay is a Scottish recording artiste within the Dance Music Scene. Known for his powerful vocals and high energy performances he has performed across the world within Asia , Europe and across the UK. Supporting such acts as Venga Boys , Shane Ward , Lucy Spraggen , Whigfield, Blue and S club.

The event location: Cassiobury Park, where Stage in the park was on just finished this month.

The entertainment lineup will include the fabulous Sister Sister – a contestant on Season two of Ru Paul’s Drag Race, 90’s chart icon Rozalla, and the furry talents of the Herts Pride Dog Show.

Watford Community Housing are sponsoring the health and wellbeing marquee at the event, where you will find various other support agencies stalls.

Speaking ahead of the event, Tina Barnard, our Chief Executive said: “It’s fantastic to see Herts Pride still going strong in its ninth year, and we’re so proud to sponsor, support and be part of the celebrations. As a community first organisation, we’re committed to equality and wellbeing for all of our residents, and we’ll be there to listen to the community and offer advice.” 

Herts pride say ‘we are proud of our achievements in having established an annual event where everyone is welcome to attend and celebrate diversity. Herts Pride includes people of all races, faiths, abilities, sexualities, and genders.’

The event will take place on Saturday 14th August in Cassiobury Park, from 12.00pm to 10.00pm.
