The driver and passenger of an Audi suffered minor injuries before taking themselves to hospital, Herts Police said.
Emergency services were called at around 9am after a white Vauxhall van and a black Audi collided in Kings Langley High Street, by the junction with The Nap.
A woman took a photos as she passed by, showing the two vehicles stranded near a recovery vehicle, while road closures were in place until just before 11am.
The Watford Observer reported seeing posts on social media: some people voiced fears over the “dangerous” junction – with one claiming it has remained largely unchanged for 40 years.
“It’s down to the drivers going too quickly and taking chances when turning across the traffic flow,” they added.
Another claimed there were several serious collisions there before signage improved the problem.
