The former Watford striker has been isolating at home but revealed in the early hours of yeserday (December 31) that he had been admitted to hospital for cardio tests.
In an update posted on twitter on today January 1, Blissett wished people a Happy New Year as he revealed positive news.
In the tweet Blissett says “Happiest of new year’s & above all healthiest! i had a very minor concern & am all clear. But it showed you must take time to heal from covid no matter how mild. Above all that we should be ever grateful for front line medics & nhs nursing staff 💙 🥂 “
