Remembrance Day parades and wreath laying events 2021

People across the country will be coming together to honour those who have served in the armed forces and made the ultimate sacrifice in conflict.

Everyone is welcome to come and pay their respects to the members of Britain’s armed forces who lost their lives in two World Wars and other conflicts.

Sunday 14th 2021

Abbots Langley – St Lawrence

  • 10.50am Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial
  • 11.15am Remembrance Service
  • 3pm Remembrance Service at the Tin Church, Bedmond

Berkhamsted

Annual parade in Berkhamsted will take place from Clarence Road from 2.45pm, towards St Peter’s Church.


Hatfield Memorial Garden, starting with a parade from the Red Lion at 10.45am.


Hemel Hempstead

Parade on Sunday, November 14, is organised by The Royal British Legion and RAF Halton.  Starts at the town centre at 10.30am and will conclude at the War Memorial, Boxmoor.

Wreaths will be laid at the War Memorial at St. John’s Church followed by a church service.


Watford 

Town Hall 3pm – The Civic Service of Remembrance

Oxhey Village Green Memorial at 2.15pm

Watford Heath Memorial at 3pm

St Matthew’s Church – 10.50am at the War Memorial

St Mark’s Church and Christ Church – starting at 10.55 at the war memorial at Christ Church on St Albans Road WD24 5BD

St Mary’s Church Remembrance Sunday Service – Church Street WD18 0EG at 10.30am


Rickmansworth – Royal Masonic School for Girls

St Albans

Royal British Legion members will gather with the Mayor for the start of the parade near Marks & Spencer’s store in the City Centre at 10.30am.

The procession will make its way to the War Memorial near St Peter’s Church for the start of the service at 10.50am.

Revd Deacon Stephen Pickard, of St Alban and St Stephen Catholic Church, will read from the Christian New Testament and Rabbi Daniel Sturgess of St Albans United Synagogue will read from the Hebrew Scriptures.

Mr Akhtar Zaman, President of the St Albans Islamic Centre Islamic Centre, will read from the Holy Quran.

Wreaths will be laid by the Mayor, The Vice Lord-Lieutenant, Richard Beazley and representatives of the Police, the Fire and Rescue and Ambulance Services.


St Albans Cathedral – tickets only Starts:


Stevenage

Gather at the Bowling Green, in the High Street for the Remembrance Sunday Parade and Service at 10:15am to the War Memorial on the Bowling Green.
