Revised waste and recycling collections over Easter
Watford Borough Council and its environmental services partner Veolia will be operating a revised waste and recycling collection timetable during the Easter period.
Collections will take place one day later starting from Saturday 11 April, returning to normal on Monday 20 April. Please see your collection calendar or check online at www.watford.gov.uk/checkmybinday
Please also note that from this date (Monday 20 April) we are temporarily suspending the garden waste collection and asking residents to put food waste into their black bins until normal service can resume.
Residents are reminded of the importance of slowing down the spread of coronavirus and protecting the collection crews by maintaining good hygiene and washing their hands before and after they put their bins out and to disinfect bin handles before and after collections.
Elected Mayor, Peter Taylor said: “Since the start of the pandemic, our partners at Veolia have done an outstanding job in maintaining household waste collections and we are all really grateful to them for all their hard work and effort. Please help our crews to continue doing their job safely by maintain good hygiene. Thank you to all of our residents who are already doing this.”
