Millions of Mobile phone customers will face an increase 17.3% in their airtime plans from April 1st 2023.
The cost of calls, texts, and data outside of the monthly allowance will not be affected by the price increase.
The price increase is yet another addition to the ever-growing cost of living.
The Retail Prices Index (RPI) inflation rate of 13.4%, plus an additional 3.9%, announced in February of 2023. (13.4% + 3.9% = 17.3%) total price increase.
Virgin Mobile customers are encouraged to review their current plans and see if they can switch to a better value plan.
These changes only apply to any monthly Virgin Mobile airtime plans. Freestyle handset loans will not be affected.
How it’ll work
Mobile airtime plans jump by 17.3% from 1st April 2023 in line with RPI inflation, released in February 2023, plus 3.9%.
