Are there enough Parks and service infrastructure in Watford as Housing Increases
With the New Housing Developments and the redevelopment of Watford until 2036, there has been concern on local facebook groups about access to local Doctors, Dentists, schools, and even parks.
Recent news of The Range in St Albans Road moving to Watford Arches, to pave way for 1,214 which have already received permission. 11 high-rise buildings that will completely transform the area that is currently occupied by The Range and TK Maxx.
Watford Borough Council has granted permission to build 2,470 new homes, with a draft of 14,000 new homes.
400 in the Riverwell scheme (2015-2035), 500 in Sydney Road, and around 500 in Ascot Road. Of the 2,470 approved homes, 920 have been built.
