Councillor Dawn Allen-Williamson welcomed Young Entrepreneur Precisa Getsevich to Watford Family Funday

On a sunny August day at George V Playing Fields in Watford, residents gathered for the annual Watford Family Funday. The event, organised by charitable organisations Eternity Community, brought together families and KEL Ministries, friends, and local businesses for a day of fun, food, and festivities.

Each year WCFF choose Charities to work with us, they are the ones that are in line with our vision and values as an event that promotes inclusivity and community cohesion.

This Year, our chosen charities were:

• Watford Borough Council Chairwoman (Councillor Dawn Allen Williamson) Charities;
• Eternity Community CIC Initiatives which aim to support the local community.

The event, which was graciously attended by our local MP Matthew Turmaine, the Mayor Peter Taylor, and several councillors including Cllr Dawn Allen-Williamson, Cllr Favour Ezeifedi, Cllr Nigel Bell, Cllr Ian Stotesbury, Cllr Richard Short.

Councillor Dawn Allen-Williamson, representing the Callowland ward in North Watford. Elected as a councillor in 2019, she has actively participated in various volunteering initiatives, community events, and council-related activities.

On Saturday 17 August the Watford Family Funday event saw many stalls and a fun fair. One of the stalls was run by Young Entrepreneur Precisa Getsevich.

The atmosphere was vibrant and uplifting, as we came together to celebrate community spirit, diversity, and the importance of family.

Charity founder, Humphrey David said, “I am delighted to share with you the tremendous success of this year’s Watford Community Family Funday, which took place over the weekend, bringing together families, local businesses, and community members”.

Eternity Community CIC has long recognised the need to help individuals in Watford and beyond, and we are dedicated to creating opportunities for people to connect, have fun, and support one another.

Precisa talked about her Healthy Kind Deodorant Line: At just 8 years old, Precisa developed the idea for her own award-winning, eco-friendly health product line called “Healthy Kind Deodorant.” Her goal was to provide people with sensitive skin access to luxurious, handmade skincare products using natural and skin-friendly ingredients. She’s passionate about entrepreneurship and hopes to see her products sold in stores or even open her own shop someday.

Joining the Youth Council

At just eleven years old, Precisa Getsevich, a Fulham-born pupil, became the youngest resident to join Hammersmith & Fulham’s thriving Youth Council. Following in her mother Katya’s footsteps (who was also part of the Youth Council two decades ago), Precisa brings a fresh perspective to the table. She advocates for more free activities for children, recognizing that some kids simply go to school and return home without engaging in meaningful extracurriculars.

Healthy Kind Deodorant: An Eco-Friendly Venture

Precisa’s entrepreneurial spirit blossomed at the age of eight when she conceived the idea for her award-winning “Healthy Kind Deodorant” line. During the Covid lockdown, she embarked on a 13-week business course, refining her concept into a reality. Her mission? To provide luxurious, handmade skincare products for people with sensitive skin, using natural and skin-friendly ingredients. Precisa’s passion extends beyond profit; she genuinely cares about making a positive impact on people’s lives.

Empowering Youth Voices

Currently, Precisa actively collaborates with the Youth Council to ensure young people have a say in how local services are provided. Her dedication caught the attention of Hammersmith & Fulham’s Mayor, Cllr Patricia Quigley, who praised her as an empowering role model for all ages. Precisa’s achievements in such a short time are truly remarkable, and her commitment to community service is inspiring.

Kidpreneur of the Year

Recognizing her outstanding contributions, Precisa was recently named Kidpreneur of the Year by the West London Business Network. Her vision extends beyond her current success; she dreams of seeing her Healthy Kind products sold in shops or even opening her own store. With regular customers who travel to buy her products, Precisa’s impact is undeniable.
