Name of Murder Victim released by Police

Police have today revealed the name of a murder victim found dead inside a flat as Vishal Gohel.

Vishal aged 44, was found unresponsive inside the flat in at the corner of Melbourne Road and the High Street, Bushey, at about 10.45pm on Sunday (January 23).

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following an autopsy, Detectives from the Major Crime Unit then launched a murder investigation yesterday (Wednesday 26 January).

Police were spotted in the flat were the light is on.

Police and Forensics remained at the scene for a few days.

Detective Inspector Justine Jenkins, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts are with Vishal’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time. Specialist officers are supporting his family and I would ask for their privacy to be respected.

“Our investigations are continuing to establish the circumstances of Vishal’s death and we are appealing for anyone with information to please come forward.”
